Universal Works x City Runner Project

The City Runner project takes Norman Walsh’s ‘Ensign’ trainer model – originally developed in 1981 for Boston Marathon runners – and brings it
Available in three pared-back colorways, each design has been inspired by a different style capital around the world. Black represents London, referencing Universal Works’ more “mature” side and recent presentation at London Collections: Men; navy represents Tokyo, which is known for its love of indigo (a color integral to the British brand); and stone represents Paris, reflecting the color of the city’s classically styled architecture.
They come complete with a soft comfortable midsole, pig skin lining and original Vibram self-cleaning sole.
The Universal Works x Norman Walsh City Runner trainers are available now at Universal Works’ Berwick Street, London, store and online at universalworks.co.uk.
